After Dual Boot

Proceeding on my quest...

I've loaded 10.3.9 on SATA #2 while keeping 10.3.5 on SATA #1.

All is good (so far).

FCP4.5 and the rest of the suite are on SATA #1 running 10.3.5.

Question ... Should I install the suite on SATA #2 as well (2 installations), or should I run it while in 10.3.9 (sata #2) from the installed one on SATA #1 (one installation) ?

FCP needs to be on same volume as the OS so if you want to use 10.3.9 then you need to put FCP on the volume that contains 10.3.9

Try it out on the 10.3.9 volume for awhile and if all is well, do what you want with 4.5 and 10.3.5

Thanks for your help ...

Let me see if I understand correctly;

Keep FCPHD on the drive (#1) that has 10.3.4 (where it has been) and work with that when logged to that system.

Install FCPHD on drive (#2) that has 10.3.9 and use that one when working on that volume.

So, FCP will be installed on both drives (10.3.5 drive & 10.3.9 drive)

Is that correct?

Let me mention how much I injoyed the meeting last Tuesday in Hollywood.

It's from that meeting why I want to get ready for FCP5 Prod.Studio.

WITHOUT Tigar or at least until v 10.4.3 (that's Apples consistant magic rev. # where stability seems to have been all addressed. At least to me.

I had my son who is Dir. of Community Relation for the Board of Supervisors of San Diego County come up and attend with me as he dabbles in FC a bit.

The next day he was on the horn with the Dir. of the S.D. Film Commission, a close friend of his, discussing what he saw that evning.

So as a result of that meeting Apple seems to be building lot's of excitment.

Speaking for myself, They addressed most of the question except those not asked or raised. Specifically the one's regarding qt7 and Tiger.

The Product Manager of STPro was really thorough.

FYI .. To all that have helped me with my situation,

IT WORKS GREAT.

I think FCP4.5 under 10.3.9 & QT7 is working much faster, smoother and it appears the Canvas is highter qualiity (maybe my imagination).

So thanks to all....
