Converting mpegs

I need to convert some mpeg files so I can use them in Final Cut. When I do this with Quicktime Pro I get no audio. Any ideas?

Can this application you linked to above restore the audio to muxed MPEG files?

Yes, I think it does demuxing. Its a great little tool - especially at that price!
