OT slow downwards slide with tiger

installed tiger the other day.

it feels faster, smooother, but now i've got a problem:

dont ask me why, but any window which can scroll, does so of it's own accord when active.

it doesnt help!
it's like there's a "Scrol" comand being given every 5 seconds or so.
windows scroll down,
the app switcher (apple tab) jumps to hte next app along,
if i touch the iTunes volume control, it too will start a slow downwards slide.

it's a fairly clean system, too.
OS, FCP
there's a couple of unsanity haxies, (windowshade, fruit menu, and the APE enhancer, but ive swithched them all off now)
installed wacom tablet driver, and microsoft mouse driver. just then deleted the microsoft mouse driver, and restarted, no luck

one by one i;ve removed the mouse, the tablet now even hte main keyboard! (this is a laptop, and im typing this on it's keyboard)

i;ve looked in all the system prefs for this,
any one ever heard of this?

This affecting your entire system? Or just FCP? You do know to reinstall FCP after you install QT 7 or Tiger, right? That should cure it.

i;m not so far in that i cant just start over...

Just for giggles then re-install QT 7. This shouldnt be happening. Works fine on my iBook with no pro apps.

ok, problem solved.

i had a contour shuttle pro pluged in.
i dont know why that should make a difference, as i hadnt loaded the drivers..
anyway, the problem was still there, so i unplugged it, and the problem went a way.
then i plugged it back in and the problem stayed away!

go figure...

I had weird issues with Haxies (Clear Dock). I dumped it - issues went away.

Just an extra 2¢.

it was some weird hic-up cause by the contour shuttle pro, i think.
the weird thing is nothing's changed except i pulled it out, and put it back in again??
who knows why, but it's smooth sailing for now

i;ve turned the unsanity haxies back on, (coast clear for now)
and i;m keeping the system relatively simple, for me.
