QT 7??

Hey Guys,

I recently downloaded the Quicktime 7 upgrade, which seems really cool with stereo, but now I've lost the 'PRO' abilities of QT... can't export files or 'save as'.. anybody got some answers??


dual G4 1.42GHz | OSX 10.3.7 | FCP 4.5 HD | 1Gb RAM

Thats what happens. Either pay $30 for the Pro features or go back to 6.5

You'll need to reinstall qt 6.5 Then change the App name to QT old or the likie and move the app to the desktop or somewhere else for safety. Then install QT 7. Now move 6.5 back and run it when you need to export or save as.

If you go to Tiger you can't go back to 6.5.

I don't remember seeing that anywhere when I did the upgrade. It's not an upgrade then, is it?

There is a small bug in QT7 if you go to "show movie properties" it will crash QT7 but apart from that its very cool,just download the HD Batman trailer from the QT site.

You have a problem Derek. Might consider a reinstallation or something. I've not been able to make QT7 crash doing what you describe.

my brother has the same problem.

His machine is G5 Duel2.0 Tiger 10.4.1 have reported it to Apple

just tried it myself and it fixed the problem.

how someone found this who knows????/
