hai. would like to use I MAC 1.6 or Mostly 1.8 GHZ with atleast 768 MB ram . is this OKAY for cutting DV with Final Cut Studio. Or should I stick with IMAC 1.8 FCP 4.5.
also planning to edit analogue footage with canopus ADVC converter...suggestion. tips. welcome. TIA. how amout LIVETYPE & MOTION with this 1.8 & say 1 GB RAM.

You wont be able to run Motion on an iMac. Livetype yes. Would be a good idea to up your Ram too. Faster the Mac the better

I am running Motion on my iMac 1.8 Ghz G5 with 1 Gig of RAM without problems.

I'm running it on my 1.8 G5 iMac 2 - OK it's so slow it's almost unusable, but it does run

hai.
both prev & this GEN " I MAC " has AGP card which is listed in MOTION approved AGP CARD. so dont think there will be problem in running MOTION as long as MOTION CAN " Run " IN I MAC . may be it can WALK with I MAC .

If it meets the Apple minimum requirements, then yes; it will work!
Its an AGP GeForce, the standard Apple-installed card. It isn't LIGHTNING fast - but it does work (and I actually have 1.5 G of RAM, not 1 G)
