Anyone using a Datavideo DAC5?

we're thinking about getting a bunch (5-7) of these for the film school i'm working at.
the local distibuter wont give us a model for aproval :-( so i'm looking for any user experiences..

Hey Nick...

I still use the discontinued DAC-2 (and I have recommended the DAC-10 to many Avid Editor friends) and have nothing but nice things to sat about this series. I can't imagine you having any problems with it if it's SDI that you need.

i cant imagine too many problems, either.

but the school like to do everything by the book, and they want to get references.
thankfuly, i spoke to the distubutor, and they are now going to give us a unit on aproval,
and they are also going to get us in touch with some local users.
so it's all worked out ok.
