Hi all
I am going to order new G5 next week--
I work in dv25 and dont see me editing Hd
for several years
I have a choice of 2 - G5s that I can afford

Both are Dual 2 gigs--one has Pci X slots
--What type of cards go into PcI X slots?
What type of Funtion do the preform--

Are there Many cards that will go into
Pci X avaiable now.

Ps - Dont let you your old Mac- Hear you talking
about getting a New Mac--
I was telling to a friend about getting a
new Mac --5 minutes later the
System drive on my Trusty Old Mac
started the Click of Death and Died - Ouch
Thanks---Jay---

PCI-X is the fastest version of the PCI bus available. It can host not only HD capture cards but also large bandwidth PCI cards like FiberChannel disk controller cards. I personally, would always want the one PCI-X slot, just in case (futures)
