Before I install FCPSTUDIO

Is there anything i should know or do special?

I have my 4.5 on Main Drive / running Panther
and i will be installing everything FCPSTUDIO on my Archive running Tiger

Any special tips?

By the way just incase. I have the upgrade FCPStudio will i need to install 4.5 into my Archive Drive first or what will i do?

You can install FCStudio without having any earlier version installed. You just need the serial numbers from FCPHD, DVDSP3 and Motion1

Is the Archive drive another volume that Tiger is loaded on?

Yes my
Main drive runs Panther 10.3.6 / FCP 4.5 / DVDSP3
and my
Archive drive runs Tiger and am installing FCPStudio everthing.



Main runs well but im trying to make this cross over
to FCP5 and Tiger but want to be able to revert just incase.

some folk (me included) have had problems with compressor.
namely the dreaded "connot conect to background process" warning.
the solution was to UN-install FCP and compressor, and re-install them.
FCP first, then compressor.

what a drag!

after that i helped a freind install, and rather than the "easy install" we did a custom one, and unchecked compressor.
after everything else had gone in, we installed compressor.
it worked fine first time.
