Fetch in AUTO mode looks at the filename to determine whether or not to use ASCII or BINARY to transfer the files. Without the MOV at the end of the filename, it won't know what to do and you may get a damaged file transfer. You could also force Fetch (or any FTP application) to BINARY to do all the transfers. You can also send and recieve LARGE files (I have sent up to 100 meg) to each other using AIM or Ichat.
