How do I put a Final Cut Pro HD video on the Internet?

Posted by Chill Will
I need to place a one minute Final Cut Pro HD video on the web.

I then need to link it to a myspace.com page.

I'm wondering if anyone could explain how to do this or point me to a resource that could.

I want the video to play on the Internet w/ a decent frame size and lgood resolution.

Thanks & be well.

MPEG-4s from FCP4, in my experience, don't look very good and produce large-ish file sizes. I usually use Flip4Mac to produce WMVs. FCP5 has far superior MPEG-4 options that look good and stay small.

Try making it a medium sized flash file (you'll also need to know how to put that .flv file in a Flash container for your web site) The video looks good - small size - and plays almost instantly when you pull up the site and virtually everyone has flash in their browser (many corporate LANs don't have quicktime) Andy
if the guy doesnt know how to export video for the web. id bet large money on him also not knowing how to build a flv container.

id reccomend a sorenson3 at 30fps at no bigger than 320x240

Sorenson Squeeze will do the job for you. It can compress Quicktime to a fabulous looking smaller size and prepare it for streaming.
Just prepare to part with around $500 for the privelege.

With all of the hype surrounding Pixlet and h264, you mean we will accept the conclusion that FCP/Compressor cannot deliver superb representations of HD to the Web?

Is there no way to do this with the "HD" tools we own?
You don't mean to say we've been ripped off?
