This is my entry for the weekly Hall of Shame ad for editors; as usual, it comes from Craig's List. Most of the ads for editors are from nuts trying to get them for free, but this is the first time I've heard of a film to released nationally from an esablished filmmaker that is trying to get an editor with his or her own system to work basically for free:
Date: 2005-07-05, 4:26PM PDT
Final Cut Pro Assistant Editor needed immediately for a 3D horror feature film starring Sid Haig ("House of 1,000 Corpses" and the upcoming "The Devil's Rejects"
. Job duties are digitizing footage and post-syncing sound. Applicant must have their own Final Cut Pro system including a G5 or G4 computer and Final Cut Version 4.5 software, we will supply a FireWire Drive to shuttle the media. Applicant must have some previous experience. This is a great opportunity to work on a cutting edge 3D feature film that will be in theaters in October.
Compensation: $300 week.
