Calibrating color using standard TV

Using the FCP Wiki instructions, I calibrated my standard 2002 Sylvania 23" television using FCP NTSC color bars. I was able to calibrate brightness and contrast based on the pluge bars, but I have no idea if my color and tint are good b/c I have no blue only setting. I placed both settings in the middle (default), which produces what seems to be an accurate color saturation, but I want to be sure. However, I don't want to spend $40+ on a Tiffen #5 Blue filter to figure out if my color and tint settings are right. Any ideas (besides buying a professional monitor)?

Nope. Get a pro monitor. I use that to grade any day.
