Apple Color Scope Problem

just got a new Mac Pro 8 core, which I plan to use for my editing and coloring. Here are the specs

Two 2.66GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Nehalem
8GB (4x2GB)
1TB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
2x NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB

I Installed my copy of FCP Studio 2 and came up with the following issues.

Apple Color
At first the viewer would show nothing but black and the scopes wont read anything once a video file has been imported, but some how I have fixed the viewer and it plays now, but all 3 scopes remain at 0 and wont change. I have tried with multiple file formats (HD, SD) with no result. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Final Cut Pro
Final Cut seemed to work fine until I got to adding some filters at which point it states that my hardware is not sufficient enough to run the effect. This cannot be true as I use these effects on my dual core lap top with no problem.

What I have tried.

I have tried many file formats (SD, HD), I have updated to the latest version, I have uninstalled and reinstalled both programs and that is about it... I am not sure where to go from here to fix it.

If anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening and how to fix it I would appreciate it.

Disconnect or remove one of the gfx cards. Some FCP plugins, Motion, and Color do not like more than one gfx card to be in the machine.
