Trying to convert 50p into PAL DV 50i, but getting PAL DV 25p insteadPosted by Frederic
Hi,
I'm trying to convert a 50 frames-per-second Quicktime file (1024x576, uncompressed) into a 50 fields-per-second DV file (PAL, 16:9) using Apple compressor. Problem is, I always get a 25 frames-per-second DV file (every 2nd original frame gets dropped, result is not interlaced). I've already fiddled with all the controls I could find, without getting any further. Can somebody tell me the proper setting so that compressor makes proper 50 fields-per-second video out of 50 frames-per-second output? Thanks! Frederic
Have you tried just using Quicktime Pro Export?

Alright. try this:
In the frame controls tab, change the "output fields" from "same as source" to "lower first". See if that works. www.strypesinpost.com
Ah good - I couldn't even download the file due to Rapidshare being so "busy" for free users.
Best to use YouSendit But glad you got it sorted. I feel I need some pom poms now - Go Geee! Go Geee! For instant answers to more than one hundred common FCP questions, check out the LAFCPUG FAQ Wiki here : [www.lafcpug.org] Sorry, you do not have permission to post/reply in this forum.
