I agree, you shouldn;t need to leave FCP. Because that's available now and has been for years; you can set keyframes and slip audio synch in FCP by as little as a 100th of a frame. That's right in the docs. Just open audio into the Viewer to cue up the playhead while holding down the Shift key and you'll see! It's cool.

it's crummy!
there's almost no control at all.
& you cant see the waveform in relation to any others.
