Why do people rushed to get FCPX?

I am seeing so many complains about FCPX that I wonder why people "jumped" on it so fast.
Is FCP 7 that bad?
I don't think so.
Could it be better? Yes.
But thanks a lot to all of them for making me save $299!

Excellent Apple hype as usual, much build up, well orchestrated by careful leaks using specific people, and a very long wait for a product whose development was long overdue and that had to be updated or die. Everyone was hoping this was it. Apparently Virginia, there is no Santa Claus.

It's worth buying for similar reasons some of us beta test products (minus the expense) or are first adopters of other technology.
It is worth learning and I do think Apple will listen to constructive feedback on bugs and feature requests . . . Right Michael?
I'm finding it very useful within its limited feature set.
