Video subframe is 1/80 of a frame and audio is down to the sample
The problem I'm finding is that if one is trimming audio you can't have it lock to 1/80 even with snapping on . . . unless I'm overlooking something. If you trim audio in between 1/80 frame interval there's no easy way to get it to snap back to one of those 1/80th frame units.
The ease of subframe editing is nice though. If you're in a situation where your sound recording device and camera recording are some distance apart you can move the audio to compensate for the inevitable time difference between the two.
