P2 Import

As I'm on day 1 with FCPX I'm bit struggling (though I read the help files upfront)

Importing P2 seems for me somehow same as L&T with FCP 7 and it takes a while till the files are transcoded (seems like no native support). But I can't find a way to get the audio (which in my case is not a real problem).
The bigger problem for me: Where are my metadata?

So what I'm do wrong - searched the manual, but didn't find any help. But maybe did a wrong search.

Did you select optimize when you imported?

I'm wondering if it's a pay me now or pay me later thing, since you can't export as Dvcpro HD. Not yet at least.
