When I try to export audio only, I get this error message:
3x error: AudioFileWritePackets failed, status: 1868981823 The audio tracks are from a Panasonic DVX 100A mini dv tape and a Canon 4 gb san disk. I need the audio in Digital Performer to do a sound mix with other audio tracks before reintroducing the mix back into FCPx. I never had this problem with FCP7 and can't figure out what I'm missing.
If all you want is one single flattened audio of the mix (since FCPX can't do OMFs anyway), then export a full-quality movie file. From there you can do one of the following:
1. Use QuickTime Player 7, access Movie Properties (COMMAND-J) and "Extract" the audio. Do a Save As or Export to the desired audio format. 2. Run Compressor to convert the movie file to an AIFF. www.derekmok.com
That or you can DaVinci Resolve it over to FCP 7. Not sure how good it is with audio. I heard it messes up the track arrangements, but that's a small price to pay if it works.
