Am editing clips from high school football games and need to be able to highlight an individual player. I've seen this done on sports programs where the plays is enclosed in a highlighted circle that follows (tracks) him across the screen. Sometimes it is just a graphic circle, other times it is a brighter area than the rest of the clip. Is there a way to accomplish this effect in FCPX or would I need to create this effect in Motion 5 or After Effects? I'm not a "sports fan", so I may not have described this in football terms. If anyone can point me to a tutorial on this, it would be appreciated. I am trying to use motion tracking and not having much luck with it. Thanks.
