Internship

Solventdreams, a post production studio, seeks an post intern for ongoing feature film projects.

The ideal candidate will have an abiding interest in, and cursory knowledge of the post production process, particularly a functioning knowledge of general editing procedures. Candidate should have strong basic skill set for general office work, working knowledge of Mac OSX, an interest in VFX, editing or motion design. Beginning fluency in Final Cut Pro a must. Editing experience a plus but not essential. Applicants must be local.

Duties will require log & capturing, encoding, asset management, client relations, systems troubleshooting, clerical tasks, phones and very light errands. Relaxed, hard-working environment with significant exposure to filmmakers and media clients. Full time preferred, part time will be considered. This internship may lead to a paid apprentice position depending upon applicant?s work ethic, ability and willingness to learn. Excellent opportunity for broad learning of multiple post processes and rapid future advancement. Although this position is unpaid, gas, lunch and credit on the finished film will be provided. Course credit can be arranged.
