Speed Change General Error?
September 04, 2003 02:11PM
I have tried to apply a speed change to a clip (40%). Upon doing this I get a general error screen. My Canvas then turns red and says "Display is unavailable. Close and reopen window to restore." By closing the canvas window I end up with no time line or canvas window. I then try to reopen the window and it is greyed out in the window dropdown menu. It is driving me crazy. I was able to apply the speed change to approximately 15 clips on the timeline before this started happening. G4 1 GHZ Laptop 1 GHZ Ram 4.0.1 FCP. Help!

I reported the same problem two days ago, and nobody answered.
Fortunatly, it did'nt happened in later projects...

1. After several attempts I have failed to provoke the general error.
This is probably a rare bug, but as you haven't given the exact steps to replicate, it's hard to debug and report. To get us further an exact and repeatable 'how to trig it' is needed.

2. By closing the canvas window, you automatically close all open sequences.
Therefore you cannot reopen the canvas or timeline window, without first opening a sequence. This is not a bug.
