freeze frame wrong size?

When I make a freeze frame - in this case text-, the size on the freeze is 98.77 %! I have to resize to 100% to match the original clip. Annoying...
Yeah, this is weird.

Edit a genreator into the timeline.
Now make a freeze of the same generator, and edit THAT into the timeline.
I have tested Text, Colour, Bars, and Shapes(oval).
It looks like its smaller.
The SCALE, however, says it's 100%, but it LOOKS in the canvas a lot smaller.
Grabing the wireframe in the canvas and getting the size close to what it should be, the scale now says it's aprox 120% (PAL sequnce) or 110% (NTSC sequnce)

Also check the viewer size. It's almost too weird to explain.
If the viewer is a non-standard size (not 50 or100%)
The Generator opens as per normal, the freeze opens with a smaller size value.

But these could be the real clues....

In the viewer size menu:
The Freeze has "view as Square pixels" ticked *but greyed out*

Motion Tab Distort values:
DV PAL standard__ 360 x 288 - Aspect Ratio = 0
DV PAL freeze____ 320 x 240 - Aspect Ratio = 6.67

DV NTSC standard_360 x 240 - Aspect Ratio = 0
DV NTSC freeze___320 x 240 - Aspect Ratio = -12.5

Weird.
