'frozen pics'

Hello all, today I saw something rear it's ugly head again. the problem is one of the picture 'freezing' on capture. the audio somehow is disturbed and cut short, while the picture freezes for 5 - 8 secs. it then 'unfreezes' and the remaining video in the clip is played out of sync. I have made a QT movie of just such a clip, and can send it off to whomever would like to see it. The size is about 4,5 Mb.

I really am concerned about this. FCP 3 (PAL version), used to do this to me fairly regularly, but I thought the problem had been solved in 4/4.1?? Anyone got any ideas? I need some answers...

If this were a bug it would be happening to everyone. I'd post this in the Cafe to see if any other PAL users are having same problem. Give a lot more info on your system and deck than this post though.
