XDCam VTR Probz

Hi there,

I have FCP 4.1 running off of OS 10.2.8. My Mac is a dual G4 processor 450. I'm shooting a documentary on XDCam. We're recording in 16:9, 24p, DVCam (25 megabits per second) mode.

Footage is great but I can't seem to get FCP to control the VTR. In other words I can't digitize my footage. A friend suggested upgrading to FCP 4.5.

Has anybody out there experienced similar troubles? I've used both the XDCam field VTR as well as the studio VTR (PDW-1500) and cannot control either.
