DVDSP2-Help!!!!

Hello all. I have a Mac G4, 500mhz DP, 1 gig of RAM,220 GB on 3 HD's. (no superdrive, but a Pioneer external DVD burner). I purchased DVD Studio Pro 2, and didn't see the part that says 733 mhz or faster. On Ken Stones site, he said there is someone with a 450 mhz DP who isn't having any problems.

Is any one else have DVDSP 2 working on a system less than 733? If so, any tips or advice? Thanks..............Danny

So you loaded it and it doesn't install, doesn't work, or you have not yet tried it? Which of these is the case?

I have yet to load it. I will let you know if I have any problems. Thanks for your replys.........Danny

This question was brought up to the Apple Product Manager for DVDSP 2 at the LAFCPUG meeting, last evening.

Brian Ferguson said that Apple has selected the 733Mhz value to insure a good experience with DVDSP 2. I really wanted to ask him and Brian Meeny why Apple can not be consistent about minimum specs. Why Final Cut Pro 4 is 500 Mhz and DVDSP 2 is 733 Mhz is, to me, inconsistent since most likely they will both be used on the same system.

20 gigs for install ....... yekkkkeeeee0s ... i geuss it's time for new hdd in my mac !!!

I don't think that DVDSP2 takes 20gigs for an install.

Correct,

SP 2 is small and even if you iknstall iDVD Elements, that's only about 1 1/2 gigs.
