A.Pack problems

I have the same problem over and over. Export from FCP 4, try to encode w/ A.Pack, get system error type 1.
Trash A.Pack prefs, try again, working only about 1 in 5 tries.
Using A.Pack for DVDSP 2.0, FCP 4.02, Dual 1 GHZ, 1.75 gigs Ram, saving to internal 120 gig WD HD.
Help?
Thanks

Matt,
Type 1 errors are usually attributed to RAM or extension, control panel conflicts. Most people can get the encode just by running it again. No need to trash the prefs.

Be sure to repair permissions periodically, run the regular maintenance on your machine using macjanitor or leave the machine to run all night. I've seen this in some machines that have never run the maintenance.
