Button & Clip references

I wish to put together a DVD with a long series of animal (different types of animals) clips as the main movie. (Each animal clip runs for 10-20 secs & are in random order.)
I want to have two separate options (menu buttons) that will categorize all of each type of animal. e.g.- One button which references all of the cats clips & another that references all of the clips of dogs. Thus, selecting the dog button will only play all of the dog clips (& not any of the other types of animals).
(I'm guessing that for a start I might need to mark each cat & dog clip.)
Can this be done & how would I go about it?

The best way is to prepare them in a timeline in FCP. Set up chapter markers (don't forget to name them so you'll know what they are) and import it into DVDSP.

Perhaps even before that, get out your manual and look up "stories." (page 43 of DVDSP 1.5's book and DVDSP 2's .pdf)
