Help, Can't Build. "Bit Rate to High" msg..

DVDSP 4.
Can't complete a build.
Keep getting message "Bit Rate To High".

No matter how low I set both the min & max in SD & HD (under encoding in the pref's) I keep getting the error message.

DVDSP 3 never had this problem with the same files.

I tried it with just 1 track, a m2v and exactly matching aiff file, still errors.

Anybody have any help.

Encode that .aiff to AC3 and see if it still happens. Also, encode the footage externally to DVDSP - use Compresor or better still, BitVice - and bring the encoded assets into DVDSP to author with.

I will try that...

But I wonder why I never had to do that with DVDSP 3?
I always used m2v and aiff's.

Never had at bitrate issue.
I got that error once.

I trashed the MPEG folder(s), because some clips were encoded (in background) at one setting, then I changed the setting (in Preferences) to a different rate, and some got encoded at that different rate.

So I trashed the MPEG folder(s) and let DSP3 re-encode everything from scratch, at a uniform rate.

And it worked - the error message went away.
