Chapter Markers & FF/RW

i have made a dvd and it look good but my dvd player has no control of the FF or RW buttons. when i try to ff it goes to the menu RW gets me the beginning of the movie.

Q. how do i set the button in dvdsp?

Q. when you set markers in fcp what do you have to do to get dvdsp to recognize them?

1) You're probably confusing the ff/rew buttons with the chapter skip buttons. Very common mistake. Take a closer look at your remote

2) You have to set them as chaper markers (edit the marker in FCP and press the chapter marker button). Make sure you set the export options to include DVD SP data.
