Compressor Crashes

Hello,

After a search of this forum, and reading several very long posts about people having a similar problem as me, there still seems to be no clear solution.

Compressor Crashes every time I use it and takes the whole system down with it.

I have tried almost every combination.. export from FCP using compressor, export ref movie, trashed Compressor 1 settings, trash prefs, create custom setting, etc...

Anything?

Dual 2.0 - OS 10.4.x - QT7.x - FCP Studio 5

delete FCP and Compressor before. Upgrade Quicktime Pro (PRO!!!) to 7.x.
Then reinstall FCP & Compressor. When you start compressor from FCP an error occurs (Compressor doesn't start...)

Open FCP and then OPEN Compressor. Then try to export a small file with "export using compressor" from FCP.

I had the same problem that you have and this is the only "solution" that I found.
