HDDV 1080 60i to DVD

Greetings Pundits of Compression!

My son has just finished a 30 min film shot on HDDV and edited in FCP at HHDV 1080 60i. I know I can make an NTSC MPEG2 with a 16:9 aspect ratio, but is this my only option?

My goal is to have a standard DVD that will play on any set. I know there is an HDV 263 or something like that HD DVD compression, but is that only for the new blu ray DVDs?

I know the MGEG2 will work, just want to know if that is my best option.

BTW, I am very DVD Studio Pro Savy, having made countless DVDs from FCP.
