how to export just a part of the timeline?

Hi,
I can't figure out how to export just a part of the timeline.
I just switched from Premiere Pro to Final Cut Pro and in Premiere there is a bar that you can move around to select the part of your timeline that you want to render or export. I can't find anything like that in Final cut.
Please help.
