font distortion

Been authoring DVDs for a year now, no prior post experience.

This is a problem that happens with both menus and layered menus.

Sometimes my text has its edges cut off - say, the top most "line" of pixels. This happens even when I've rasterized the text and flattened the whole file. The background will look fine, but the text will look slightly scrappy and distorted. A "2" will look like a "7", for example.

I use Photoshop CS2 and DVD Studio Pro 4. Max OS X 10.4.9 Dual 2 GHz G5
