compressor setting reality check (PAL land)

dear users

I have a client who is looking to get an edited video in the following format...

720x540 Pixel
Pixel format square
25P
MPEG2 muxed

I will be uploading the file with an FTP program.

But there are a couple of things which I don´t understand.

This setting is not a preset in compressor?

So I guess that this means that I have to make the setting? Yeah?

New default setting?

Then I have to select MPEG2.

But when I get to the frame size tab the options are grey!!!

Am I missing something here or how can I change the frame size?

Guess that there is a simple answer but am at the moment baffled!

As for the muxed option I don´t get this either!!!

They want a muxed mpeg 2!

Is this the option "Select this to create an mpeg-2 Transport stream with multiplexed audio" on the extra tabs?

Would be very grateful for any help as this is mission critical stuff.

thanks

720x540?? sounds like a non-standard dimension (ratio 1.33??). Check if they mean 720x576 or 720x568. Bitvice will allow you to create 720x544, which is as close as you'll get, but you won't multiplex with BitVice (unless that's been added recently).

Square pixels are almost always used for computers... rectangles are what are used for video. What is the intended output for this footage?

Multiplexed MPEG2 is OK - transport stream is correct.

Thanks Hal,

Sorry about the slow reaction on my part.

Seems that they have realized that they are looking for a weird format! Format is now up for discussion.

thanks again
