Phantom Images ever 5 frames

Hey Guys

Looked for this problem and didn't see anything similar --

I am getting a Phantom image in my playback on the burned DVD --

it is happening every 4th and 5th frame -- three clean frames then two phantom image frames - the phantom image looks a bit like the old 3D glasses -- where the darks get a bluish glow around them and the lights get a redish glow around them

Definitely a bit different then an interlacing problem -- no "teething" as you would usually see -

Footage was shot on a DVX 100B in 24P and edited in FCP under that capture setting
Exported in QT uncompressed

Imported to DVDSP - Using DVDSP 4 on a Macbook Pro -- (just bought it and this if first project with it)

Has anyone seen this? - Know that cause? - Know the fix?

How did you convert 24P to 29.97, or did you?

In FCP i did not --

is it suppose to be imported as an asset in DVDSP under a setting of 24p or 29.97? --
Or Exported that way when burning the DVD from DVDSP?

the raw self contained .mooV files that is being imported as an asset does not have the phantom imaging problem when watched in QT before importing - or when tested in DVDSP with the simulator ...

Just the burned DVD is having the problem

Thanks ..... Zander

I am not sure about this with the DVX100 as it does record "in camera" onto the tape as 29.97.
So I am told! That means the camera takes care of the 3:2 pull-down.

You should be sure of the frame rate you are using to go into DVD Studio Pro
