Connecting DLT Device

Connecting DLT Device

I could use a push in the right direction here...I'm not sure what to do next.

I'm having problems hooking up the Quantam DLT-4000 device I bought to my G5. I made some progress today by successfully installing an SCSI card. In "About This Mac" next to PCI cards it now reads:

pci9005,e2a0:

Type: SCSI Bus Controller
Driver Installed: No
Bus: PCI
Slot: SLOT-2
Vendor ID: 0x9005
Device ID: 0x0080
Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x9005
Subsystem ID: 0xe2a0
Revision ID: 0x0002

However, DVD Studio Pro still does not read a DLT device.

The DLT machine is set on #2, and it has a terminator, although the light on the terminator is not glowing.

I tried using different slots for the card to no avail.

Also, in "About this Mac", next to "Parallel SCSI" it does not read anything.

Any ideas on what to do next?

Driver Installed: No

Isn't that telling you that you didn't install the driver for the card?

Not every SCSI card works with OS X.
WHICH SCSI card did you install?
If it's Adaptec, you might have a hard time making it work.
