Motion projects to DVDsp3

The Los Angeles motion users meeting was very good yesterday- what a bunch of talented people!- 2 questions I didn't ask...( i don't own motion yet...)
Is the new little g5 imac capable to run motion with the stock video card and can the motion projects be brought into DVD SP3 as (motion projects) to be used as transitions- will the update change automatically (make a change in motion and that change goes to DVD SP3) ?

How are you using a Motion project as a transition in DVD SP3?

Create a short animation with an alpha channel. Use that as an alpha transition.

That's what I thought.

I was hoping there might be an easier way to do it rather dealing with the folder, naming, and file issues with alpha transitions.
