FCP freeze frame to Motion

FCP freeze frame to Motion

Have spent a full day on this and now I'm in trouble.

Trying to export a freeze frame file into Motion. It shows up fine in the Motion inspector, but when I dump it into the timeline, it's just black. Adding Alpha has no effect. Immaterial whether I import it as a .mov file or .motn file.

And as the freeze frame is a QT file, I can't put it into Photoshop.

Ideas please?

Did you make a freeze in FCP or export a frame?

Hi Tom:

Made a freeze frame 10 seconds duration.

Try exporting the frame as a Photoshop file rather than as a freeze frame.

Final question for the day

Tom:

How do I copy and paste attributes in Motion from one file to another?

There's no command that I can find. Is there a work-around?

Thanks again for your help. Exporting as Photoshop was the answer.

There is no paste attributes as just. You can copy and paste behaviors and filters.
