about ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

Priviet everybody,
I have a little question about the card :
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Mac Edition Spéciale.
Do I need to buy this one to work on motion or can I buy a cheaper one .
I don't play game it is only for Motion.

I have G5 2x1,8 , 2gb ram.

You don't need the ATI 9800 pro SE for "tastes" the power of motion. It is because most of the graphic card that come with the G5s could run motion without problem.

However, You do need a high-end graphic card with lot of texture buffer for running motion more productively.

You better try the demo first.

I have the 9800 card and am very happy with it indeed. Definetly worth the extra $$ or Eur or whatever. Just as important though is as much ram as you can get your hands on.
