motion workflow

hey guys,

got another easy one for you, unfortunately not for me.

I recently shot and edited a commercial on a SDX900, edited in FCP 5, exported to DV50 NTSC anamorphic.mov, brought the file into Motion to do the text, now I need to print to tape for the broadcast.

What is the best way to do this w/o losing my text quality?

I dont believe you can print to video through motion, can you?

Or, should I bring it back into FCP 5 w/o rendering?

You'll need to go back to FCP, and you'll have to render. I usually only send from FCP to Motion the section that I want to modify - sounds like you sent the entire sequence?

yea, I sent the whole sequence, its 30sec.

now, when I render in FCP5, it going to to give me FCP quality text, correct?

if this is the case I dont want that.

No, it will simply render into your chosen codec, same as if you rendered out of Motion.
