ok my producer last minute decided she wanted some text to write itself on so i used the Clerk livetype preset and she was happy.
BUT as the text writes itself the words its already written seem to jumpback and forth slighty, as if it was recalculating where it should be. I can;t figure out why it's doing this, ive used it before with no problem. Any ideas?
ok well a couple of things...
One i was using a shadow on the text and once that was removed, it glitched less. I'm also using a outer glow filter on it and once that is turned off, the jumping goes away. Here's my issue, if i use glow under text controls, the glow jumps on with each letter, where as the outer glow filter writes with the text but makes the glitch. So im thinking my workaround is to output the livetype as its own QT movie and then import. BUT that kinda sucks since i loose the ability to change the text and i have to make like 10 different qt movies for each font set. I'm gonna do it for now but i'd like to not have to do this everytime. Probably the better way is to add the glow in livetype itself right? too bad i don;t know livetype...when i get some time i'll do an overview on lynda...
