smoke doesn't rotate

Hi all -
I am trying to take the Smooth Smoke Left particle emitter and rotate it so that it goes from left to right instead of up and use it for a lower3rd.

I go to the properties and rotate it but it doesn't - what im i doing wrong?

That particular emitter uses a negative amount of the Gravity behavior rather than any speed to move the particles. You'll need to turn off the gravity behaviors (there are two of them) then add some speed and then you can change the direction.
