Upgrading Motion 1.0 to Motion 2.x

I have been searching the net for ways to upgrade ONLY our Motion
for our Final Cut Pro 4x platform.

When I get to a page; such as Buy.com; it says it is not available from
the manufacturer.

Do I get the feeling the only way to upgrade is to upgrade up to Final Cut Pro
5xx ?????

Please advise.

Motion is no longer sold separately. You have to buy Final Cut Studio to upgrade.
