Need help with type effectPosted by shelleyrae
Dear Experienced Motion Artists,
I?m trying to achieve a specific type treatment and try as I may, I?m just not able to create this effect and need some guidance. What I would like to do is have a sentence come on the screen, then have select words in the sentence disappear while the remaining words change color and grow in size. So for example: ?Love is where you find it.? The sentence comes on all the same font and size in white. Then, the words ?is,? ?where? ?you? and ?find? disappear leaving ?Love and It? in the same position as the opening sentence. Then those remaining two words turn red and grow in size. Love It. I would really be grateful if someone can help me through the steps to achieve this effect. Thanks in advance, Shelley Shelley MacBoo Pro 2015 16 GB Ram OS X 10.13 Premiere Pro CC
I tried to quick whip up what I think you're asking for-
[www.jamesnweber.com] The motion file can be downloaded here: [www.jamesnweber.com] Basically, my folder structure is like this: -Group (with fade in/fade out behavior to fade in at the beginning) --Other (with fade in/fade out behavior to fade out at the end) ---"you find" text layer ---"is where" text layer --love it (with Grow/Shrink behavior to grow it at end) ---"love" text layer ---"it" text layer The only other thing I did was keyframe the color of love and it to change at the right time. Let me know if this is the general effect you're looking for, or if you need more specifics ---- www.JamesNWeber.com - Socially Aware Media and introducing- www.FCPTutorials.com - One source for all Final Cut Tutorials
That's it! Thanks James.
I had a problem downloading the Motion file though. When I go to the link you provided I get all the computer language such as: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE ozxmlscene> <ozml version="3.0"> <factory id="1" uuid="044beba5ad3211d7ac9b000393833f6a"> <description>Style</description> <manufacturer>Apple</manufacturer> <version>1</version> </factory> <factory id="2" uuid="0a5c0b1d4acd11d8b650000a95a6b5a8"> <description>Channel</description> <manufacturer>Apple</manufacturer> <version>1</version> </factory> <factory id="3" uuid="0e8d443513b611d89395000a95af9f7e"> <description>Channel</description> <manufacturer>Apple</manufacturer> <version>1</version> </factory> <factory id="4" uuid="10405f52139811d8b4db000a95af9f7e"> <description>Channel</description> <manufacturer>Apple</manufacturer> <version>1</version> </factory> <factory id="5" uuid="1595b452229211d78c7f00039389b702"> <description>Channel</description> <manufacturer>Apple</manufacturer> <version>1</version> </factory> <factory id="6" uuid="27f3ee8b229211d7925a00039389b702"> <description>Channel</description> <manufacturer>Apple</manufacturer> <version>1</version> </factory> Shelley MacBoo Pro 2015 16 GB Ram OS X 10.13 Premiere Pro CC
Hi James,
I've studied the file you sent. How did you get "Love" and "It" to line up where they need to be in the sentence? When I try to type in the whole sentence then delete the words I don't need everything moves out of alignment. Shelley MacBoo Pro 2015 16 GB Ram OS X 10.13 Premiere Pro CC
