Hi all,
I am helping some friends with a project.

Can anyone point me to a tutorial for adding gun flares and whispy smoke to a shootout scene?
I suspect the application of choice is After Effects but all I have is FCP, Motion, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Can I do it with this assortment of apps?
If you know of any other apps under $100 that would help let know.
