Background Noise Filter

Does soundtrack pro have any capabilities with filtering out background noise? Such as heavy air, so when you watch the video you hear more fffzzzzzzzz, than the actor's voices? I need a way to filter this out. If I don't, then I will end up with a movie that has bad dialog. Thanks

See above thread. Short answer is yes but it all depends how loud sound is relative to voice. If noise is much louder than voice, it will "damage" the voice.

Monitor audio during shoot at all times -ALWAYS
In environments with unavoidable ambient sound - CLOSE MIC the supject - lav, hand held mic, boom.
