Need Help Sountrack Pro 2 - I just want to set punch in and out points with a pre-roll

How do I get the recording to start at the in point, and not right away when I hit the record button, and to stop recording automatically at the out. Also I don't want to hear the clip that I'm recording over, just punch in and out and keep rolling.

Thank you, your the best. I don't think the answer lies in the multi-take editor, and I have found resources on how to work that.
