Thanks in advance!by licfulee - Café LA Re: HDV & Compressor - 17 years agojdfilms! Thanks alot! That really makes a lot of sense. I'll definitely try that. However, I did manage to burn a dvd that looked great and I tried on 3 different dvd players that had no problems. But obviously my clients DVD player didn't take it. Thanks for your advice!! FCP 5.1 in an HDV 1080i60 Sequence. I exported a self contained QT with DVDSP markers. I brought it into compressor and used a Best 90 min DVD 16:9 setting to make my Mpeg and AC3. Authored my DVD in DVDSP and it burned fine but I find it skips in some places anby licfulee - Café LA FCP 5.1 Bugs? - 17 years agoRunning off a G5 Dual 2.3 on OS X 10.4.7. Final Cut 5.1. I am trying to finish a documentary that was done on a iMac G5 on FCP 5.1. The project came to me on a G Tech 500 gig drive. So i duplicated the sequence so I could work off my own sequence and upon working, found that there were certain clips that were embedded into other clips. Usually clips that had titles over top. I use CLEANER and it looked 1o times better than compressor but its still not HD. I wonder how apple encodes thier trailers?by licfulee - Café LA Compressing an HD quicktime? - 17 years agoI have a 2 min 10 bit uncompressed HD sequence and wanted to know the best way to get a medium compression for the web as a SD Quicktime and/or HD Quicktime. Any help would be very helpful. Thanks Marshallby licfulee - Café LA HD in FCP - 17 years agoHi Just recently took a job that I was most likely not set up for. I'm running off a G5 Dual 2.3 in FCP HD. I have a 10 Bit uncompressed HD quicktime (1080i) file that is roughly over 300 gigs. 32 mins of footage. I have the drive space but just recently relalized that my 800 firewire drive is not fast enough. Can anyone tell me a cost efficient way for me to edit this project in FCP HD?
