I am looking to upgrade to a HD Cam and came on here tonight looking to find out whether people use the "new" models with only HD storage with FCP... I have only the 1 GHz PB (Late 2004, I think) and I have v6 installed. I get warnings saying that I need a 1.25 mhz processor, minimum.... My goal is to edit the clips together. The clips are - 7 clips of person being deposed. an 7 clips of caamera pointed at projection screen. All I need to do is line up when a document is mentioned with the video of the document. It's very easy. So I have Person clip 1 and Doc clip 1 on V1 and V2, respecby Billy Morocco - Café LA Re: audio order of operations - 17 years agoThanks for your input. STP is overwhelming. I suppose because to even have it open means committing to a level of detail that FCP allows you to not notice. <<However, if you are doing a lot of fixing, or sending clips to STP, you might as well do it all in multi-track, one stop shopping if you will. When you're done with fixing, click on the mixer and do a simple mix. >> I finaby Billy Morocco - Soundtrack Pro small resolution query - 17 years agoGreetings, My brother works at a law firm and I'm doing some freelance for him: editing video of depositions. He's sent me some files that are 320x240 size. They ahve some sort of PC Box that takes DV tapes and converts to MPG-1. They are mpg, so I've already converted with MPEG STREAMCLIP to a suitable format. I have one decent (FC Studio, PPC, though) bay and prosumer DV equipment. As a year-end project, and for a number of reasons, I have the students RE-Filming "Casablanca" (most of it, modifying the plot to be a sort of "seniors project" .
